Some musical friendships live on in the sound they made together.

Michael wrote “Roll In the Hay.” His longtime friend and lead guitarist, Johnny Napp, came in and laid lead-guitar parts over Michael’s song, adding his own voice to the recording without changing where the song began.

Johnny also recorded parts for several of Michael’s unreleased songs. Those performances remain in the archive and may be heard in the future when the tracks are fully produced.

“Roll In the Hay” was released in Johnny’s honor after he passed away—a lasting remembrance of their friendship and the music they shared.
